ALTERNATIVET - MERCHANDISE COLLECTION

As stated in my 'Work Case' on the previous page, Mikael Jensen is an MP for Dansk Folkeparti, a right-wing political party that are currently (2023) undergoing a revamp of their brand. They're updating their website, web shop, and merchandise. It's because of this revamp that Mikael felt that the other political parties in Folketinget needed a facelift too.

This led to a project (previous page) that focused on analysing the merchandise sold by the different parties in the Danish Parliament. I found that three of the main, more prominent parties in the Danish Parliament, "Folketinget," had neither merchandise nor a webshop: Alternativet, Danmarks Demokrater, and Socialistisk Folkeparti.

Danmarks Demokrater are a very new political party, having only been created in 2022; hence, it makes more sense that they are yet to launch a merchandise line and website/webshop. If they haven't done so within the next year or so (2023–2024), I will design some concepts and present them to the party's leader, Inger Støjberg.

Out of the other two parties (Alternativet and Socialistisk Folkeparti), I decided that designing a new collection for Alternativet would be the easiest for me, regarding my background, as I could hone in on my experience in the sustainability sector and create products that are both visually appealing and sustainable.
